GEF Launches New Website to Serve the Local Community
Founded in August 2011, Green Education Foundation’s mission is to provide a full suite of community services dedicated to Ecology and Conservation. GEF is a 501C3 public charity organization focused on supporting and promoting green education. Leveraging the NDRS Program the company places Neighborhood Donation Recycling Stations at various sites within our communities nationwide. GEF diverts tons of landfill waste while collecting used but still usable items for resale; the proceeds generated are used to support the schools directly, as well as support our green ecology / conservation programs for community outreach.
In 2020 the Green Education Foundation updated the company website with a new platform tailored to serve the community and make it easier for people to engage with GEF services. We have a firm belief that our window of time to react to global warming and other ecological disasters is closing soon. It’s time to start disposing of our materials in an ecological way. Ecology is critical today, each one reach one, each one teach one!
We all have to work together to empower activities dedicated to global conservation success! You can locate a local NDRS in your city, to donate used and unwanted items on our Item Donation web-page. GEF works with companies such as Goodwill Industries and/or Salvation Army. The proceeds from the sale of the goods are used to fund grass-roots ecology based programs to support the eco-community.
We really appreciate you taking time to review our new website and resources; please share them with your family, friends and community. Help us spread the important message regarding sustainability and ecology. Mentor-ship is so important for our youth, we have to set the right example! Today young people are confused about what should be done regarding the global eco-crisis. They are getting mixed messages from their parents, peers, educators, political and business leaders. Children find it hard to reconcile contradictory positions and oftentimes choose to withdraw from any real position of their own.
